Avolon transitions young widebodies

Avolon is transitioning two 2015-vintage Airbus A330-300s to Saudi low-cost carrier Flynas, marking that airline’s first foray into widebody operations.

One is set to deliver this November, the other the following month.

The Rolls-Royce Trent 772B-powered aircraft last flew for Turkish Airlines.

New operator Flynas has ramped up its operations throughout the Covid-19 crisis, adding 15 leased A320neos since the beginning of the pandemic.

Currently operating 40 A320 and A320neo narrowbodies, to 30 June Flynas had outstanding direct orders with Airbus for 67 additional A320neos and 10 A321neos.

Last month, Flynas agreed an A320neo sale and leaseback transaction with Jackson Square Aviation, covering three deliveries.
