LOT Polish Airlines | Operating lease (RFP) | 03-24 | 9x737 Max8

LOT Polish Airlines has approached the market with a request for proposal (RFP) for the dry lease of four Boeing 737 Max 8.

The RFP seeks up to nine 737 Max 8s.

The Polish flag carrier is considering standard lease terms on a dry lease basis for up to 12 years.

The aircraft would supplement existing aircraft of this type operated by LOT at present. The aircraft that are part of the RFP will be aimed as the replacement for currently leased 737-800 aircraft for which lease agreements are expiring around the end of 2026.

The Warsaw-based carrier would like to evaluate the narrowbody availability for the end of 2025 until summer 2026 period and make the decision about the new long-term additions or bridge solutions currently available on the market.

The carrier assumes deliveries of these aircraft in the period of the fourth quarter 2025 and first quarter of 2026, in order to accommodate LOT Polish Airlines’ requirements for spring and summer 2026 programme.

Bids have to be submitted by 26 March 2024.
