Aircastle has added two mid-life narrowbodies to its portfolio with leases attached to European carriers Air Europa and Smartlynx.
The US lessor, via Aircastle Ireland, acquired one Boeing 737-800 aircraft from Aergo Capital on lease to Air Europa. The 2010-vintage aircraft was placed by Aergo Capital in July 2023 to the Spanish carrier’s subsidiary Aeronova with a medium-term lease.
Aergo Capital also announced the sale of one Airbus A321 aircraft, on lease to Smartlynx, to Aircastle Ireland. Airfinance Journal Fleet Tracker shows that the 2010-vintage aircraft was placed under a 10-year lease to Smartlynx in 2019.
Fleet Tracker shows that Aircastle has one 2008-vintage 737-800 on lease to Air Europa as well as two 2002/06-built A321s leased to Smartlynx.
Smith Gambrell & Russell acted as lead counsel to Aergo Capital.
