CDB Aviation has agreed to purchase and lease back 12 new aircraft from US carrier United Airlines.
The deal comprises two Boeing 787-9 aircraft and 10 737 Max 8 aircraft.
Each aircraft will be leased back by the lessor to United under an operating lease agreement upon their deliveries “between 2020 and 2021”.
Update: The first two a/c were delivered in April 2021.
Update: In June 2021 the number of a/c was increased to 15.
Update: In August one MAx 8 was delivered.
Update: CDB Aviation has completed a 15-aircraft sale and leaseback mandate with United Airlines.
The US carrier sold and leased back 13 Boeing 737 Max 8s and two 787-9s over the course of 2020 and 2021 with the final 737 Max 8 delivery in December.
