LATAM has reached agreements with Airbus Financial Services and some head lessor entities to purchase four narrowbody aircraft and eight engines pursuant to the finance lease agreements.
A court filing document shows the aircraft are four Airbus A319s that are sub-leased to LATAM Brasil.
TMF Interlease Aviation II BV is the head lessee in each aircraft, which were delivered new to LATAM Group in 2002.
The aircraft are part of an October 2002 lease agreement between the parties, which was novated in 2016.
The full title of the aircraft and aircraft equipment will pass to the LATAM parent company upon final payment of the outstanding amount due on each aircraft. Final payment on each aircraft is contractually due on designated dates between September and December 2020.
