Turboprop lessor Abelo has closed the first ATR42-600 aircraft as part of a mandate with regional carrier Maldivian.

The unit delivered on 2 May and is scheduled to enter service later this month.

Abelo says the aircraft is part of a five-aircraft mandate with the remainder of their four aircraft order scheduled for delivery between 2024 and 2025.
