French carrier Air France has sent request for proposals for the financing of four new Airbus deliveries due next year.
The Paris-based carrier is offering the sale and leaseback of two new Airbus A220-300 aircraft to be delivered in August 2025.
The initial lease term will be for a duration of up to 12 years, but like in previous sale and leaseback financings, the parties will be granted two extensions of one year per aircraft.
Air France has specified that lessor offers not be based on Balthazar-type financing for the aircraft nor on Canadian Export Credit financing, according to one source.
Offers are to be received by 20 May and it plans to shortlist by early June.
