China Aircraft Leasing (CALC) has signed its first lease deal with South African Airways (SAA).
The agreement will see CALC transition two young Airbus A320s that the Hong Kong SAR-based lessor recently repossessed from Vietnam-based Pacific Airlines, which has since ceased operations amid unpaid lease debt.
The A320s were manufactured in 2016 and 2017, respectively, and are equipped with IAE V2527-A5 engines, Airfinance Journal’s Fleet Tracker data shows.
