S&P downgrades Qantas

The rating downgrade comes just one day after Qantas announces new Emirates alliance.

Standard and Poor’s (S&P) rating agency has today announced that it has lowered its corporate credit rating for Qantas Airways from BBB/A-2 to one grade lower at BBB-/A-3.

The rating agency has also lowered its rating of Qantas’ senior unsecured debt to BBB- from BBB.
