Iata reports air traffic slowdown

Disappointing global statistics masks Middle East 17.9% growth rates.

International Air Transport Association (Iata) has reported a slowdown in global air traffic volumes.

Between February through June air traffic increased by just 2% on annualised basis – a drop from the 8% growth rate experienced from mid-2011 through to January 2012, according to Iata.
