Aldus Aviation financed a blind pool of 14 Embraer aircraft with BNDES and SBCE backing in the first transaction of its type for the Brazilian export credit agency.

Historically, the majority of export credit agency (ECA) financings, including those done by BNDES, have been for airlines. Aldus, a leasing company that focuses on Embraer aircraft, proved that a lessor can be an equal proposition to a carrier.
