Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has closed a JPY6.8bn ($88 million) private debt placement, the first in Japan for the US lessor. ACG will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including funding its aircraft portfolio.
The unsecured notes, which mature in three years, were placed with four Asian banks, including Japanese banks. The lenders were mandated in the third quarter of 2011 and the transaction closed in November.
