Hartley Elder has been appointed head of civil aviation for the Isle of Man (IoM) aircraft register.
Elder joined the register in 2008 as chief surveyor from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), in Montreal. He was promoted to director after former head Brian Johnson left the register in August to pursue a different career.
