The Paris Air Show is the biannual event that people expect to generate dramatic announcements. This year the show was full of predictable and interesting news, but nothing overly dramatic occurred at Le Bourget.
For me the show started with a semi-boisterous event. Sunday afternoon, before the first aviation-related reception, I went to visit Notre Dame. This was interrupted by a noisy protest, demonstrating against globalization. With hundreds of police, very agitated people and things looking to explode, nothing too remarkable happened, albeit a few demonstrators were arrested.
Similarly the air show had interesting but not overly dramatic announcements.
