Iata estimates aviation is growing at 3% to 4%

The International Air Transport Association (Iata) says passenger and cargo traffic are growing, but profits remain squeezed by high operating costs.

International passenger traffic was up in April 2011 by 16.5% compared with April 2010.
Giovanni Bisignani, CEO, Iata, says traffic levels are up and the industry is growing at 3% to 4%.
