UTC reports $7.97 billion profit in 2010

United Technologies Corporation (UTC) also reported $54.32 billion in consolidated net sales for 2010 and expects sales to rise by 3% to 5% in 2011.

United Technologies Corporation (UTC), the diverse manufacturer based in Hartford, Connecticut, reported a $7.97 billion operating profit for 2010. That is a rise from 2009’s $6.98 billion.

Consolidated sales accounted for $54.32 billion for the year and $14.9 billion for Q4. Because of the strong growth for the year and quarter, the manufacturer has reaffirmed its guidance for its 2011 sales outlook to between $56 billion and $57 billion.
