EQ² Report: Biofuel usage may save $2.01 billion by 2020

EQ², a company specialising on sustainable economics, says in a report that using 15% of biofuels will avoid 35 million tonnes of CO 2 emissions, an equivalent of $2.01billion in carbon taxes in 2020.

The EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) will put a direct cost on carbon emissions for all flights in and out of Europe once it takes effect in 2012. These new costs will add to the existing burdens of unstable fuel prices.
