AirTran to offer convertible notes and common stock

The parent company of AirTran Airways will offer $100 million in debt secure obligation notes maturing in 2016.

US based AirTran Holdings will simultaneously offer $100 million in convertible senior notes and more than 9 million common stock shares, it said on Wednesday. Morgan Stanley is acting as sole bookrunner and Raymond James & Associates is co-manager for the notes offering.
