A new technology for monitoring carbon emissions will enable airlines to measure their CO2 output in line with the requirements of the European Trading Scheme (ETS).
Bytron, a British aviation data systems company, has developed a carbon accounting technology - the monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) software tool – that can accurately calculate levels of CO2 produced from aircraft operators.
