Iata’s passenger numbers for March show premium traffic continuing to decline, with the figures showing a 19% year-on-year decline.

While this is marginally better than February’s figure of just over 21%, much of the apparent improvement is due to an extra leap year day in 2008.

“There is no indication in the data yet that the decline in passenger travel has reached a bottom,” the association said.
