State bank VEB is lending the country’s airlines $250 million to lease the Superjet-100, hailed as the spearhead of the manufacturing industry’s revival.

The Russian government is providing a $250 million credit line to support its resurgent manufacturing sector.
It is understood that Russian state bank VEB will lend the country’s airlines $250 million to lease the Sukhoi Superjet-100. The new regional jet is spearheading the nation’s efforts to transform its stagnant manufacturing sector into a once-again thriving industry.
