Deloitte: Airports set to reduce landing charges

A report from Deloitte says “the pendulum of power” will swing from airports to airlines as airports look set to reduce landing charges owing to vacant landing slots.

Despite operating in an increasingly difficult market characterised by “extreme turbulence”, airlines are set to benefit from a reduction in airport charges this year, said a report published today.
According to an analysis by Deloitte, the economic relationship between airports and airlines is set to shift decisively in airlines favour, as airports reduce landing charges as more slots become vacant.
