International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector financing arm of the World Bank Group, has a mandate to invest where the private sector is unwilling to go and its latest aviation investment is a perfect example. The bank is providing $15 million in quasi-equity to Dexter, a new air taxi company. Dexter will use the cash to acquire 45 M101T aircraft, a six-seater Russian-made turboprop.
