Many punters argue that consolidation is weighing down heavy on the operating lease market, but Airfinance Journal's latest survey begs to differ.

In previous years the survey would invite the top lessors to provide the number of aircraft in their portfolio and the volume of their portfolio. This year, we did things differently. In addition to the numbers and figures, we also asked lessors how many of the most popular aircraft, which featured in the 2006 Airfinance Journal Investors' Poll, they have in their portfolio.

This breakdown not only shows airlines where they should go to for an A321 or a 737-800, it also shows the number of lessors who have entered the market to meet the growing demand...
