Bids to finance four A380s and five 737-300 aircraft for Qantas Airways were due at the time of going to press. The delivery date for the first A380 is August 2008, with the remaining aircraft delivering between then and 2015. Several financial institutions are understood to be bidding for the mandate.

Calyon and ING have jointly underwritten and closed a 12-year finance lease secured facility for one 777-300ER for Jet Airways. ING is acting as agent and security trustee of the financing. In October Jet Airways sold and leased back two 737-800s from aircraft leasing company Awas.
Philippine Airlines has mandated Calyon, HSH Nordbank and KfW as joint commercial loan underwriters for the financing of three A320s. Calyon is the arranger of the French structured lease.
