Airbus has delivered a fourth A380 to Singapore Airlines. The airline will do some pre-entry to service work in Singapore before the aircraft enters service. Singapore Airlines's A380 fleet will start a daily service from Singapore to Tokyo on May 20. Tokyo is the A380's third daily destination to be served after Sydney and London.
South African airline Nationwide has ceased all operations, after failing to recover from an incident to a 737-200 on November 7 when an engine became detached when departing from Cape Town. A financial recovery package that the airline was hoping to receive did not materialize.
Ocean Air of Italy has officially ceased operations. The airline had not been flying for a couple of months.
Lufthansa is considering options on whether to bid for a majority share in BMI....
