Delays at LA Airport After Landing System Glitch

One of the busiest airports in the US faced severe delays in take-offs and landings after equipment on one of the runways failed. Los Angeles Airport saw its arrival rate fall from 56 planes an hour to 32 when only one runway remained useable, said an airport spokesman. The FAA was able to fix the problem and normal flights have resumed.
