Qantas cuts 600 jobs

Qantas has cut 600 jobs in the first half of its financial year as part of a restruturing plan to cope with higher costs. The airline blamed high fuel costs and redundancy payouts for a 9.6% fall in its first-half net profit to $352.6 million.
